Elderly couple Nurzhan and Salima dream of grandchildren, but their unmarried son is in no hurry to make them happy. He's waiting for true love, which doesn't seem to come. Fortunately, his father recalls an old Kazakh tradition where he had agreed to marry their children to a close friend's. The son, Baurzhan, goes to the city to meet his betrothed, only to find that the beautiful Ayzhan is already preparing to marry someone else. Ayzhan agrees to help Baurzhan find the perfect bride, starting with a beauty contest.
