Aliya Tattibayeva is a housewife living a quiet life with her husband, Berik, who works at the city administration and provides for the family. Aliya raises their teenage daughter, Dinara, and spends her free time baking cakes on order. One day, Aliya discovers Berik’s infidelity. That same evening, she runs into her former love, Aidos. After an emotional night, they end up at a hotel — nothing happens, but Aliya feels guilty as if it did. Kicking her husband out leaves Aliya without income, but with the support of her sister Saltanat, the devoted lawyer Darkhan, who’s in love with Saltanat, and their father Zheken, she decides to start her own confectionery business. However, the path to a new life turns out to be far from as sweet as her cakes…
