In the remote steppe, a small family - an old man, his grandson, and daughter-in-law - lead a quiet and peaceful life. The old man herds sheep, enjoys watching football on an old TV, and lovingly guides his grandson, teaching him to distinguish good from evil, maintain a connection with ancestors, and care for loved ones. Their tranquil life is disrupted when the old man, herding sheep, wanders too far and loses his way home.
