In the remote steppe, a small family - an old man, his grandson, and daughter-in-law - lead a quiet and peaceful life. The old man herds sheep, enjoys watching football on an old TV, and lovingly guides his grandson, teaching him to distinguish good from evil, maintain a connection with ancestors, and care for loved ones. Their tranquil life is disrupted when the old man, herding sheep, wanders too far and loses his way home. As the cold approaches and snow begins to fall, hungry wolves start prowling for prey - and they won't spare a human who crosses their path.
