Five-year-old Kenzhe arrives in a quiet Kazakh village from a bustling city. His father, immersed in business and trying to pay off debt, leaves him in the care of his grandparents. Kenzhe’s grandmother is diagnosed with a serious illness, and her son desperately searches for a miraculous cure. Meanwhile, Kenzhe observes the animals in the village, forming a particular bond with a boar named Yashka. However, one day Grandpa Matvey decides to slaughter Yashka. These events, both significant and trivial, intertwine like a patchwork quilt, gradually shaping Kenzhe's worldview.
