Offside TV series (2018–2019) is an honest show about youth sports. Phil, a cynical scout, looks for new talents for Lokomotiv FC academy. But he lost both the hope for the Russian football and his skills in finding talents long ago. A football fan Sasha persuades Phil to consider a promising guy. But getting accepted to the academy is not enough: the player has to win the coach's trust, survive exhausting trainings, and cope with his doubts. Only few young players are able to win success and recognition, the rest are to meet frustration and brutality of the pro sport.
