Kozhabergen, a 15-year-old boy, dreams of becoming the youngest author to pen a novel. His goal is to encapsulate the memories of his father, who never returned from the war, and the experiences he has gathered from his daily life. However, he meets with constant hurdles. His mother cannot comprehend his spirit, and his village teachers overlook him. Karatai, who visits Kozha's home, views him as a rival vying for his father's spot. Hence, Karatai, who owns a black motorcycle, is willing to do anything for attention. Problems arise when he has a fallout with his close friend, Sultan. One day, when Zhantas discovers a poem Kozha wrote for his childhood crush Zhanar, he makes fun of him in front of the entire class. Facing such external and internal conflicts, Kozha and Sultan steal Karatai's motorcycle and run away, leading to a fight that results in the destruction of the motorcycle. Consequently, the village elders assemble to pass judgement on Kozha.
