Sultan

She is young, beautiful, and well-read, quoting Camus and musing on impressionism. Despite appearances, her world is falling apart as her recently deceased father left her mother in debt. She moves to the city hoping to find a good job with her rich uncle, only to be propositioned as an elderly widower's companion. However, someone she always considered a friend is secretly in love with her and follows her to the city.
