Sofia, a young woman from Ukraine, moves to Turkey in search of a better life and quickly finds it. Her striking Slavic beauty catches the eye of a powerful Turkish businessman, Huseyin. Their romance blooms beautifully and rapidly until Huseyin's wife discovers his infidelity. Now, a wounded, abandoned, and lonely Sofia lies on the ground, with the salty waters of the Bosphorus washing over her bleeding wounds. Unexpected salvation comes in the form of Azamat, a Kazakh immigrant living in a dilapidated homemade tent on the beach. Although nearly homeless himself, he offers Sofia shelter, helps her recover from her trauma, and assists her in finding new meaning in life.
