Eduard Surovy's singing career peaked in the 1970s, long before Comedy Club resident Garrik Kharlamov – who would later name his infamous comedic character after him – was even a twinkle in his father's eye.  With the personal approval of Leonid Brezhnev, Eduard was granted permission to represent the Soviet Union, then shrouded behind the Iron Curtain, at a prestigious European music competition.
