The Kitchen (2012–2016) is a cult Russian TV series telling professional and private stories of the crew of French cuisine restaurant Claude Monet. Maksim, a young cook from province, comes to the Capital to make his dream come true – to become a chef. Alas, he has to begin from the bottom – as an assistant cook. The doors of the restaurant are always open for the richest and most famous guests, but the most interesting things happen outside the restaurant hall. Spicy stories, sweet romances, and bitter tears await Maksim and his colleagues away from the guests’ eyes.
