Aulet is a fifth-grader with a difficult character, living in a boarding school. After the death of his parents, he becomes an orphan. Although Aulet has distant relatives in a nearby village whom he occasionally visits, none of them show any particular desire to take care of him. At one of the family celebrations, Aulet accidentally gets a lottery ticket, which turns out to be a winning one. The prize is a new 'Volga' car. Upon learning this, the relatives begin to gain the boy's trust and shower him with gifts in the hope of getting the prize. But tricking Aulet is not that easy.

Kuma, Shegebek, and Nurzhan are best friends who grew up in the same village. They have not seen each other for years, but finally reunite in Almaty and decide to celebrate.
