Aulet is a fifth-grader with a difficult character, living in a boarding school. After the death of his parents, he becomes an orphan. Although Aulet has distant relatives in a nearby village whom he occasionally visits, none of them show any particular desire to take care of him. At one of the family celebrations, Aulet accidentally gets a lottery ticket, which turns out to be a winning one. The prize is a new 'Volga' car.
