In 1967, students of the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute - Dos, Murat, Kamit, and Sanya - were destined to become one of the most renowned music bands of their time. Unaware of their future fame, they were sent to the Bayanaul district for construction works. Passionate about music, these future engineers formed an impromptu quartet, playing Kazakh melodies that won the hearts of Hungarian students, who named them 'Dos-Mukasan'.
